Keep it fresh

If your workplace has a kitchen, bring the ingredients and store them in the fridge until lunch.

Toast it or Warm it Up

Toasting will bring out the sweetness in the bread, and will warm up whatever filling you put on. Try toast with spreads like hummus or baba ghanou.

Consider New Condiments

Try mixing tuna with a creamy salad dressing instead of mayonnaise; spread the bread with red pepper jelly or barbecue sauce if you like a spicy kick.

Sandwich Those Leftovers

Leftovers from last night’s dinner can make super sandwich fillings. Meatloaf is a natural for a hearty sandwich Rolls; or try pieces of grilled chicken or roast pork in your next wrap.

Get Your Vegetables

Rather than adding lettuce and tomato, try sliced cucumber, avocado, shredded carrot, alfalfa sprouts or sun dried tomatoes.

The Final Touch

Seasonings aren’t just for the stove top; they really make a difference in sandwiches. Start with good old salt and pepper, and try adding fresh herbs like basil leaves or coriander.basilwrap

How to host a best Dinner Party

There is nothing like an evening of good friends and good conversation. If you love to entertain friends and co-workers, but lack the funds for a traditional dinner party, you are in luck.

If you shop smart, it doesn’t take a lot of money to throw an event that will make you the envy of your social circle. When all else fails, consider a potluck.

Hosting at home can be simple and fuss-free, especially if you start the planning well in advance and don’t sweat the small stuff.

Have each one of your guests bring their favorite dish or appetizer. It can be a lot of fun to try new recipes and variations.

How to host a best Dinner Party ever

how-to-host-dinner-party

         Pick a good group

  • Of people, that is Choose friends who get along well, have similar interests, and have at least some things in common.
  • If you’re looking to spice things up with a wildcard invitee or two, make sure they’ll fit in and won’t make the rest of your guests uncomfortable.

Ask about allergies ahead of time.

  • Most of the time, if a guest has a serious allergy or religious observance, they’ll let you know about it, bust’s always nice to ask
  • Make sure there’s at least one thing (besides green salad without dressing) that everyone at the table can enjoy.

       Be flexible

  • Make sure your menu and plan for the evening won’t fall to pieces if somebody can’t make it or brings an extra friend.
  • Use this drinks calculator to figure out how many beverages to buy.     dinner-dinner-party

    Plan menu items strategically

  • Prepping for a dinner party isn’t quite the same as tossing together some pasta and veggies on any given weeknight.
  • Plan the menu strategically avoid a table laden with dishes that require last-minute prep, exotic ingredients, recipes with long prep times.

    Do the hard work first

  • Try to get as much prep work as possible out of the way ahead of time. Look for recipes    that include instructions on how to “plan ahead” and mention what can be prepared early.

    Start early
Cooking for a large group takes longer than a meal for two, plus there are  probably more courses and add to juggle. Give yourself an extra hour or  two in the kitchen.

    Dim the lights

  • This one’s just for aesthetic purposes. Low light makes everyone look  prettier, sexier, and more mysterious.
  • Turn down harsh overhead lights and light some candles. (Christmas lights are always a good option, too.).

 Don’t forget about dessert

  • 1.Unfortunately, the last course often doesn’t get its fair share of respect
  • 2.Serve up one of these healthier treats along with coffee and tea to signal the end of the meal.

Laugh it off

  • Last but not least, don’t take yourself (or your dinner party) too seriously.
  • There’s no need to work yourself up over mistakes people probably don’t    even notice.

Tips for Host a Dinner party

dinnerparty-tips

  • Pay special attention to the dinner party A good invitation will help convey the theme of the party.
  • Instruct the guests on any food or items that they need to bring to the event.
  • You can create cheap, one-of-a-kind invitations, by using supplies available at your local craft supply store.
  • Each invitation shouldn’t cost more a few cents a piece. Don’t forget to address the envelope in your own handwriting; it gives it a personal touch.
  • DO make a playlist. Background music makes things all the more festive.
  • DON’T write thank-you notes. A host gift is a thank-you. But if you were given something more than wines (a candle, a plant).
  • You could dash off an e-mail letting your guest know how much you enjoyed his or her company and the thoughtful whatever-it-was.
  • DO start the cleanup before bed. Even if you overindulged. That Dutch oven will look even worse in the light of day.
  • And you’ll be so happy to wake up to a clean kitchen. After all, that’s what dinner party are about: good times.

Don’t feel constrained by the ingredients and amounts listed in this recipe. While You can use other herbs for a different flavor. You could also add ginger peels and lemongrass for an Asian flavor. Just let your imagination run will.
You don’t need to use a whole chicken either You can buy the bone-in chicken breasts, and remove the bones before cooking.

Then just put the bones in a plastic bag, and put them into the freezer. Then when you’re ready to make the chicken stock, just take the bones out and use them in the stock.

  • How to make Chicken stock

First of allMaking homemade chicken stock is easy! Not only do you save money because you don’t have to buy boxed Chicken stock, the stock itself is so much healthier for you because of all the iron, collagen, and vitamin-rich marrow from the bones

make chicken stock

  • Method of chicken stock

1.  The first method uses the leftover bones from a chicken carcass and vegetables (which means it’s practically free), and also takes several hours of slow cooking.

2. We often use this method when we’ve roasted a chicken and have a leftover carcass. so It’s a great way to not let good bones go to waste.

3. In the second method, we start with chopped raw chicken backs and/or wings, and sauté them first due to brown them for flavor.

4. Then add onion, carrots, parsley, and leek or onion greens, and cover with several inches of cold water. This we simmer for 4 to 6 hours and then strain.

5. Cut the chicken up into pieces.

6. Put the chicken, and the rest of the ingredients into a large kettle, and so bring to a boil.

7. Reduce the heat to medium low, and simmer for 3 hours.

8. Remove the chicken, and also place in a bowl to cool.

9. Pour the stock through a colander lined with cheesecloth, and chill.

10. When the chicken has cooled enough to handle, remove the skin and the bones, and freeze or refrigerate the chicken stock for another use.

11. Skim the fat off of the chicken stock, and refrigerate, freeze, or use immediately.

12. Yield: About 6 cups of stock also about 4 cups of chicken

13. At last the third method is a quick version of the second. You can also make stock easily in about an hour this way, again starting with backs and wings.
